R.R.T.-to-B.S.R.C. Admission Requirements

Curriculum

This 100%-online program is designed for Registered Respiratory Therapists who want to advance their knowledge and skills in critical care, research, education, leadership and management. Students with an associate-level degree in respiratory care can earn a bachelor’s degree in as little as one year.

Requirements

To be considered for admission to this program, applicants must meet or exceed the following requirements:

  • Graduate from a school accredited by CoARC
  • Get admitted to Texas State University
  • Get admitted to the RRT-to-BSRC Online Completion Program

Program Admission Requirements:

  • Minimum GPA of 2.25
  • RRT credential from NBRC
    • may be waived until 3rd semester
  • Completion of General Education Core Curriculum
    • can complete simultaneously with RC curriculum
    • must complete to obtain BSRC

  • Send official transcripts from each institution attended to Undergraduate Admissions:

  • Wait for response from Undergraduate Admissions in regards to acceptance status
  • Sign up for New Student Orientation—if you have completed more than 30 college credit hours, you may complete Online Orientation

How to Apply to the RRT-to-BSRC Online Completion Program

  • Complete the RRT-to-BSRC application and respond to all questions.
  • Enclose 3 professional references on the RRT-BSRC Reference Form.
  • Enclose a written statement including the answer to:
    • Why you chose the B.S.R.C. program at Texas State University to achieve this career goal?
  • Submit your completed packet by mail to:
