Welcome to the exciting world of Respiratory Care! The Department of Respiratory Care at Texas State University with 11 full-time faculty--of which 6 are doctoral prepared--and varying by semester and need adjunct clinical faculty are here to assist you in completing your Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care (BSRC) degree or your Master of Science in Respiratory Care (MSRC) graduate degree. The BSRC program offers a traditional campus-based program for Entry-Level Respiratory Care qualifying graduates to sit for the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) national credentialing exam for entering practice. Our BSRC online program for graduates of associate degree Respiratory Care programs who have already earned the RRT national credential is totally online and allows the working therapist to continue working/living in their home town while completing the BSRC degree. The MSRC graduate program is also an online degree program and provides students with advanced knowledge in Respiratory Care with the choice of three areas of concentration--Clinical Specialist, Leadership, and Polysomnography.
