Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care (B.S.R.C.)

This degree prepares students for careers as respiratory therapists in a variety of healthcare settings. During the sequential curriculum, students build a foundation of cardiopulmonary knowledge. They provide direct patient care during clinical rotations and specialization internships. The first two years of the degree are completed in San Marcos, and the specialized final two years take place on the Round Rock Campus.


Master of Science in Respiratory Care (M.S.R.C.)

Mid- to high-level respiratory therapists, managers and educators can gain advanced-practice skills with this degree. Students get extensive training in patient education and disease management, along with a concentration in either leadership or polysomnography (sleep diagnostics). The degree is offered in hybrid format, with some courses taken online and some taken in person at laboratories on the Round Rock Campus.


R.R.T.-to-B.S.R.C. Online Completion Program

This 100%-online program is designed for Registered Respiratory Therapists who want to advance their knowledge and skills in critical care, research, education, leadership and management. Students with an associate-level degree in respiratory care can earn a bachelor’s degree in as little as one year.
