Honoring our past. Celebrating our Future

1972 - 2022

The College of Health Professions at Texas State University celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022. The past 50 years have been an exciting time for the College of Health Professions. What began as a program in inhalation therapy with 24 students in 1972 has grown into the current College of Health Professions with 8 academic units, 19 programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and nearly 3,300 students. Our success can be attributed to the dedicated administrators, faculty, and staff who have devoted their careers to creating an environment where students can be confident, they are learning current and emerging healthcare practices. While the College has grown tremendously in the past 50 years, this is just the beginning. As we honor our past and celebrate our future, we look forward to what the next 50 years will bring.
