Advising Preparation
How Do I Prepare?
All students should review their degree audit and admission requirements for their major of choice. You should develop a proposed schedule for your next semester and a list of questions for your advisor to keep your appointment on-track. If you have any forms or paperwork that needs your advisor's signature (examples include parent institution approval forms, study abroad forms, etc.), please complete the form to the best of your ability prior to the appointment.
Appointment Attendance Policy
Please arrive early or on time for scheduled advising appointments. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you must notify the Advising Center by phone or in person prior to your scheduled appointment time. If you fail to cancel prior to your scheduled appointment time, or if you do not attend your appointment, your absence will be recorded as a no-show.
Please arrive for your appointment at least 5 minutes before the scheduled time. If you are late, your appointment will be cancelled and marked as a no-show.
If you no-show your advising appointment during peak registration planning times, you will not be allowed to reschedule the appointment until after the peak registration period has passed. During that time, you are welcome to submit one of our advising forms for assistance from our office.
Peak Registration Planning:
February 15th - April 15th
September 15th - November 15th
