    When admission to speech-language pathology and/or audiology services is not possible, other ways of securing the needed services and assistance are recommended. Some alternatives to admission to the Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic are:

    • referral to another agency or practice such as the public schools, a community center in the area from which the person lives, or speech-language pathologists and audiologists in private practice;
    • referral to another treatment source, such as physicians, and other clinical practitioners (psychologists, developmental specialists, etc.)
  • We deal with multiple hearing aid vendors so repairs for aids that are or are not purchased from this clinic can be made.  Minimal repairs can be done in-house as well as hearing aid checks to diagnose hearing aid malfunction.  If your hearing aid requires major repair, we can send it back to the manufacturer.

  • There are many qualified and competent speech-language pathologists working in various settings in Central Texas. The Round Rock clinic is first and foremost an institution of higher education serving as a clinical training venue for graduate students earning a Master's Degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders.  The Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic at Round Rock is a non-profit organization and clinical services are provided by graduate students in the Department of Communication Disorders under the supervision and guidance of nationally certified and state licensed clinical supervisors.
