About Us
The Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic at Texas State University serves as the clinical training facility for the Department of Communication Disorders. This is a professional clinic staffed by clinical educators (Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists) who hold national certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and are licensed in the state of Texas. Students gain practical experience through live and videotaped sessions, where they provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to individuals across all age groups, including infants, toddlers, school-aged children, adolescents, and adults with various speech, language, and hearing disorders. Clinical educators offer continuous and direct oversight of all assessment and intervention activities conducted within the clinic.
The clinic's mission is to provide evidence-based clinical learning experiences for students while delivering high-quality, scientifically supported assessment and therapy services to the Round Rock and Central Texas community. The clinic specializes in the prevention, assessment, and treatment of speech, language, swallowing, and hearing disorders, catering to individuals throughout their lifespan.
In accordance with the Texas State University policy, no person shall be excluded from participation in, or be subject to discrimination by the Texas State University Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic on any basis prohibited by applicable law.
