Licensed PT since 1981. Joined the faculty at Texas State in Fall, 2014, having taught at Southwest Texas State from 1995 to 2002. Dr. Bezner was a staff Vice President at the American Physical Therapy Association for 9 years, leading the Education and Governance and Administration Units. Her PhD is in health education from the University of Texas, her interests and expertise are in health promotion, prevention and wellness, and she is a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach. Dr. Bezner chaired the Texas State University Faculty Senate 2019-2022. She became department chair in July 2021, served as Associate Dean of the College of Health Professions May 2022 – March 2023, and served as Interim Vice President of the Round Rock Campus from March – July 2023.

Licensed PT since 2016. Dr. Cariker has previously practiced in inpatient rehabilitation primarily with patients with spinal cord injuries and other neurological diagnoses. She currently practices in an outpatient setting with patients with vestibular diagnoses. Dr. Cariker assists with lecture and lab for the neuroscience and body systems series and is a clinical instructor in the on-site physical therapy clinic. She is a board-certified specialist in neurologic physical therapy and is certified in vestibular rehabilitation.

Her specialty area is vestibular rehabilitation. Gobert is part of the neuroscience team and research team. She serves as Chair of the Institutional Review Board at Texas State.

Dr. Rasoulian is a graduate of the Texas State Physical Therapy program and has been a licensed PT since 2014. She completed a fellowship in manual therapy and orthopedics in 2017 and is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Dr. Rasoulian currently practices in outpatient orthopedics with a primary focus on movement modification, wellness, and manual therapy. Dr. Rasoulian is a member of the musculoskeletal team and serves as a clinical instructor for the on-campus clinic.

She was a private practice owner for 16 years with specialization in sports medicine/ orthopaedics with a special interest in treating elite club, collegiate and international athletes. She is Board Certified in Orthopaedics. A graduate of Texas State Physical Therapy Program, Dr. Rich returned to the program in the fall of 2015 as a member of the musculoskeletal team. Currently she is the Director of the on-site clinic and advisor for the pro bono, Community Access Clinic.

Dr. Rodriguez assists with lecture and lab for the Neuroscience sequence, Patient Care Skills, and as a clinical instructor during Directed Clinical. He graduated with his Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2015 and from the Neurologic Physical Therapy residency in 2016, both from Texas State University.

MopsyMopsyTherapy Dog
A licensed therapy dog since 2022, Mopsy has been an active member of the Physical Therapy team since 2020. Her primary focus is on providing cuddles and snuggles to clinic patients, staff and students. Her secondary interests include chasing bare toes and sleeping through Faculty Meetings.
