If not already a Bobcat, please first complete an application to Texas State University and be admitted to the university before applying to the HIM program. Your Texas State Student ID number is required for the HIM program application below.

Application for the BSHIM Degree program

Please identify the degree track for which you are applying. *
The BSHIM would be your first bachelors degree
You have completed an associates degree in HIT and are progressing to the BSHIM degree
You have completed a non-HIM bachelor's degree or higher and are pursuing the RHIA credential. If you have a bachelor's degree, please consider our entry-level Master of Health Information Management program.
The BSHIM degree is offered in a traditional classroom setting, via online delivery, or hybrid delivery. The on-campus method is recommended for students new to healthcare and those within a reasonable commute to the Round Rock Campus. *

I authorize the Texas State University Registrar's Office to release copies of my transcript to the Health Information Management Program Admissions Committee. I understand acceptance by Texas State University does not indicate acceptance into the professional phase of the Health Information Management Program.

I understand that as a condition for placement in some professional practice experience sites, I may be required to have a background check and/or drug screening and/or meet other specific requirements as set by individual sites.
