The mission of the Department of Health Informatics & Information Management is to educate and prepare professionals with competencies needed to ensure accessibility, accuracy, availability, integrity, security, and use of patient health information to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery.

The vision of the Department of Health Informatics & Information Management is to be recognized internationally as a quality producer of health informatics and health information management professionals equipped with the attitudes and principles that encourage lifelong learning and ethical behavior in a rapidly evolving profession.
